We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Lauren Mixtacki has joined our practice! Dr. Mixtacki is a Wisconsin native, born and raised in Madison, and brings a wonderful combination of strong medical training and a deeply personal approach to patient care.
Dr. Mixtacki earned her degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Winona State University before returning home to complete her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She went on to finish her residency training at the Waukesha Family Practice Residency Program in 2018.
Like the other physicians at Advocate MD, Dr. Mixtacki truly believes in the power of the doctor-patient relationship. She was drawn to Family Medicine for its focus on preventative care, the broad spectrum of patients she gets to serve, and the privilege of walking alongside families through all of life’s stages. She sees her role not just as a physician, but as a teacher, guide, and advocate, which makes her a natural fit for our practice’s name and mission.
Dr. Mixtacki is excited to join Advocate MD because it gives her the time and space to practice medicine the way it was meant to be practiced, really listening to patients, learning their stories, and focusing on what matters most to them.
Outside the office, she enjoys family adventures with her husband Brian and their children, along with cooking, hiking, biking, camping, singing, and playing volleyball.
Dr. Mixtacki began seeing patients in late June, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her. If you’re looking for a new primary care physician, we’d love for you to consider enrolling with her today. Give us a call at 608-268-6211 or visit our Contact Us page to get started!
